Lets Visit Paris’ most chic neighborhood: Le Marais

Let’s start off in one of my favorite neighborhoods in Paris. I suggest starting off by visiting the infamous Centre Pompidou. You will need to purchase tickets beforehand here. While it is a museum that focuses on modern art, you will find one of the most magical views of Paris by going up to the last floor near the escalators. Enjoy a lovely morning strolling along the museum.

Afterward, I suggest having lunch at Carboni’s (reservations are highly encouraged). This gorgeous Italian trattoria has some of the best meals; the amazing Bar Sotto underneath the restaurant will serve the best Negroni Spagliato.

Le Marais is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Paris. Known for its extensive shopping stores located all around the neighborhood. You will find some amazing vintage stores and massive department stores; I can ensure you will find something for everyone. Many perfume stores like Juliette Has a Gun, Le Labo, and Aesop. Another must-visit store, which my friend Sophie loves, is ChiChi Castelnango. I also adore their Uniqlo location. You’ll find some of the most gorgeous French stores in this area. I suggest visiting the gorgeous BHV, which, during Christmas, has some of the best decorations I’ve seen. The BHV is Galerie Lafayette’s younger sister and has a curated selection of some of the best Parisian brands. Truly a must-see. Right in front, you will find the Hotel de Ville with the grand Olympic rings waiting for the games to start next year.

One of the most exciting museums in Paris is the Musée Carnavalet, which focuses on explaining the extensive history of Paris from its beginnings of just being the Ile du Cité. This museum is free and must be visited to admire the gorgeous architecture. Musée Cognacq-Jay, Musée National Picasso-Paris, and Victor Hugo’s House are must-visit museums.

Finally, visit Place de Voges, a gorgeous small plaza filled with small restaurants, which make an excellent place for a quick drink before dinner. We suggest visiting Serpent A Plume for some delicious Hugo Spritz and fantastic jazz!

Other note-worthy places to eat are:

  •    L’as du Fallafel
  •    Alfi Sandwich
  •    Café Hugo
  •    Benedict for Brunch
  •    Pain Vin Fromages for fondue and raclette
  •    Breizh Café for crepes
  •    Café Berry
  •    Sweetea’s for excellent bibimbap
  •    Le Petit Marché
  •    Carette for the infamous hot chocolate
