My Favorite Restaurants in Paris

france paris Oct 02, 2023

After living in Paris for two years, I found myself visiting these restaurants more often, and they quickly became some of my favorite restaurants. So, I share my full-proof list of places I can guarantee deliciousness and will never fail me if I am in Paris.

In this list, you will find some local favorites and cult classics (as seen on TikTok places) that are a real good option. Albeit their famous background, these restaurants will give you that Parisian feel for a good price and an amazing ambiance, hence why they are on this list. In other words, these are some of my “worth the hype” places.

Fresh Noodles

The beautiful memories that I have of this place. Fresh Noodles is conveniently located near Châtelet. I know many people think of Chatalet as a very touristy place, and, although I agree that you will find some overpriced restaurants in this area, however, Fresh Noodles is different. This restaurant offers handmade noodles, THE BEST noodle soups, and a personal favorite, their “nouilles sautées.” Even better, they offer “menu” deals, where you can order an appetizer (their dumplings - or “ravioli” as they are called in Paris - are amazing) and a main dish, such as the noodle soup for 14 euros. Nothing can beat this. Everyone who lives in Paris will have the noodle place they adore… this one is mine!

23 Rue Saint-Denis

East Mamma

This was my go-to, casual Italian dinner place when friends were visiting Paris and wanted to get the famous truffle pasta but didn’t want to go through the hassle of going to Pink Mamma. I know I’ve talked about the Big Mamma group before, especially this restaurant, but I will mention what sets this restaurant apart from the rest. Although every BM restaurant has fantastic service, I just love the people that work here, they are some of the nicest people ever, and I have had so much fun dining here. At the end of the day, these restaurants have quality Italian food and are consistent throughout; the food will be good every time you go, hence why it became a classic for me.

133 Rue Faubourg-Saint Antoine

Vin Des Pyrénées

This restaurant is where it is at when it comes to unique dishes, incredible wine, and an even better atmosphere. It’s another one of those restaurants that never misses and is so Parisian. I love this restaurant for its iconic speakeasy on the top floor (Le 1905) and the gorgeous dishes you will try. I adore their squid stuffed with chorizo, which I sadly did not see on their menu recently. However, if you want to try the classic steak frites, this restaurant will provide one of the best I have ever tried. I will never stop ranting about how good this restaurant is.

25 Rue Beautreillis

L’as du Fallafel

Every time you search for food in Paris, there is a high chance you will see this fantastic place on the list. Located in the excellent Marais, L’as du Fallafel is the absolute best for delicious falafels and shwarma. I always ordered their turkey shawarma with extra sauce because it was so delicious. Nothing is better than picking up food from here and then walking along the neighborhood and sitting in the Hotel de Lamoignon gardens to enjoy a fantastic Parisian afternoon. There will be a line; I can guarantee that, but trust me, it's worth the wait.

34 Rue de Rosiers

Relais d’Entrecot

Yet another Parisian classic that you have to wait in line (I am so sorry). But, to be fair, it is worth the hype. I mean, you get two full servings of steak frites with their delicious sauce and a salad for 27 euros; what’s not to love? The steak is always perfectly cooked to your liking, and dipping those fries in that fantastic sauce is next level. I’ve visited different locations throughout Paris and can’t really say whether the lines will be shorter on some of them, so I just recommend finding the nearest to you and getting there early (I think the one located near Café de Flore is the longest line I have had to make so maybe choose another one). If you are not in the mood to wait in line, I recommend visiting Baguette du Relais de Venise in Le Marais (right in front of Le Bon Marché), where you can buy their baguette stuffed with steak, fries, and sauce (equally delicious) for 14 euros.

15 Rue Marbeuf (where I didn’t have to wait - cannot guarantee this will happen)

Baguette de Relais de Venise in Le Marais

10 Rue des Archives

HolyBelly

Hands down, some of the most delicious brunches I have ever had in Paris. Located on the 10th, just in front of Mamiche, this American-inspired brunch spot puts an iconic Parisian twist to brunch. This place truly brought me home to those amazing pancakes I love having in the morning. I love everything about this place and truly recommend making a reservation or waiting in line (Paris loves lines).

5 Rue Lucien Lampaix
